Frequently Asked Questions:

When and where do the league events take place?

The WNCHS league includes players from all over Western North Carolina including Buncombe, Henderson, and McDowell counties.  The sanctioned league events generally take place in Buncombe and/or Henderson counties.

The sanctioned high school events take place in the spring of each year (March-May).

Currently, all league events are on Wednesdays from 4:15 - 6:30 (approx)

The league's current schedule can be found in our EVENT SCHEDULE section.

How much does it cost to participate?

The WNCHSDG league is FREE TO PLAY! If you need discs/equipment, we'll even give you some!

Do I need to be in a (public/private/charter) school to play?

NO!

All high school aged students are allowed and encouraged to play!

While there are team scoring elements to the events, players are primarily competing as individuals and can do so regardless of where they go to school or if any other players from their school participates.

Public school, private school, charter school, homeschool, early college-- it's all good! The only requirement is that you are in 9th-12th (or equivalent) grade!

Do I need to participate in all of the league events?

You can participate in as few or as many events as you can/would like. We encourage you to play in as many as you can!

The end of season individual rankings are based on your top four (of six) regular season results, but you are still welcome to come out even if you can't/won't make it to four (or more).

More information about the scoring/format can be found in our FORMATS section.
